About Hinxden Farm Dairy
Hinxden Farm Dairy is a family run dairy farm based in Benenden, Kent, where Richard and Dee Manford continue a farming tradition that has been part of the local landscape since 1930.
Building on generations of farming knowledge, the Manford family produces fresh milk, cream, yogurt, creme fraiche, butter and cheeses with a focus on animal welfare, responsible land management, and maintaining a close connection between the farm and the people it serves.
The herds of Guernsey and Holstein cows are free range, whenever possible, grazing outside as seasonal conditions allow or lounging inside on straw beds when the weather is bad, eating grass silage, maize silage and cereal crops grown on the farm.
Milk is pasteurised and bottled and other products produced on the farm, where Richard and Dee oversee the production and delivery process from start to finish.
Alongside their own fresh milk and dairy produce, other products such as free range eggs and two artisan blue cheeses can be supplied, reflecting the family's commitment to freshness, craftsmanship and locally produced food.
At the heart of Hinxden Farm Dairy is a belief that farming is about more than producing food. It's about caring for the land, respecting the animals, and continuing a family legacy that has been shaped by generations of dedication and hard work.
Their approach reflects the values YILD believes in: supporting local producers, strengthening regional food networks, and helping consumers discover the people behind the food they enjoy.
As part of YILD's producer network, Hinxden Farm Dairy represents generations of family farming, trusted local food production, and a lasting commitment to producing fresh dairy with care, integrity and pride.
